Solar Bob is your Solar, Generator, Battery, Lightbulb and (soon) Windpower source. Robert Shelton burst on to the scene in 1984 with a grin and a full head of hair. A smartass kid that kinda hated school he worked in roofing and waterproofing until enlisting in the US Army in 2003, serving from then until 2015. He deployed overseas a couple times, and you may see a picture of him here and there wearing a super dope Cowboy Hat, Stetson. After service Robert popped into sales, notably real estate where he became super boring... Talking people into a kitchen they didn't like was not for him. Concurrently he ran a home remodeling company for several years, and where he enjoyed helping clients fix that kitchen. But Robert wanted to move closer to home and family, namely the West from TN. Soul searching and looking for a way to make a living while also having a positive impact on the world he found solar. After working with a couple of companies Robert decided to streamline the process for clients while also reducing the often absurd prices his counterparts were charging. Solar Bob was born. Solar panels convert sunlight into direct current (DC) electricity. An inverter then converts the DC electricity into alternating current (AC) electricity, which is used to power your home or business. Any excess electricity is typically sent back to the grid for others to use.

Sometimes. As part of our site survey we inspect the condition of your roof and estimate the remaining lifespan. We want to ensure you don't incur additional costs associated with needing to remove the system to repair a roof. If it is determined that a new roof is required we can help you find a qualified contractor in your area. We can even help finance the new roof in most cases.

This is a big question that has many correct answers.

Generally the power output of each solar panel is rated (on average) at approximately 400watts. The actual output of each panel depends on available sunlight, location of the sun, orientation of each panel and many other variables. Our design process includes all of these variables to custom design a system that is both affordable and powerful. The power from the panels is then sent through inverters to your breaker box, consuming power needed and sending excess to the grid for Net Metering. 

Solar Bob includes a 25 year warranty on equipment and labor on all solar residential systems through both manufacturers and installation partners. 

Battery and Power Storage systems typically include a 10 year warranty with a guaranteed system rating after that time. Battery manufacturers are all a little different though, so best to check in with us.

Maintenance requirements vary from location to location. Generally the equipment such as connectors and wiring is maintenance free. It is best to keep the solar panels as clean as possible by removing debris and bird droppings when they occur.
